Deal Or No Deal Friday – Chocolate Edition

This week we have come across a deal or no deal that will go down in our Deal Or No Deal history. Its definitely….well, interesting to say the least. Take a look for yourself:

Let’s evaluate: First of all, I’m sorry, but this looks all kinds of wrong. The masseuse hand full of chocolate looks awkward (and creepy!), and the dripping chocolate looks unappealing when it should otherwise. At the end, when it says “need we say more”, we say YES PLEASE, because this doesn’t make sense and we have many questions. Why chocolate, and how is it helpful for your skin? Are you supposed to eat the chocolate after the massage? If not, who does or what happens to it? Most importantly, what on earth is FIG MOIST HEAT?! When I Google that, nothing comes up. To top it off, spending $92 on a deal with so many unknowns is a never a good idea.

This deal from Groupon’s great local rewards program has us stumped. Why would we give up our hard-earned points just so we’d be able to go to sleep? Aren’t we already paying rent for that? Now if we were paying for someone to sleep for us, well, that’s different. But isn’t this a bit expensive for a half-hourly hotel?

Bloomspot had a great deal on personal training session.There were two great benefits we haven’t seen anywhere:

• It’s exercise for your brain – to get a session you just have to decipher the limitations.  For example, if my subway train leaves Brooklyn at 4:30a going north at 5mph, will I have to pay the extra $10 for my 45 minute session on a Saturday?
• It’s exercise for your neck – as you hold up those dumbbells, one of their associates will intensely stare at the back of your head, causing your hair to stand on end.

The plethora of deal sites popping up in the wake of Groupon has got us excited. There’s everything from BuyWithMe, LivingSocial, DealOn and KDBdeals to Homerun, Mamapedia and many many others.

Daily deals come with a variety of limitations. Limit 1 per user. Limit 2 per table. Can only be used on odd Tuesdays when the moon is full, between 2:05a and a quarter to 4.

But this one caught our eye. An incredible discount from Lifebooker Loot for stretch mark removal, but somehow we don’t think you’ll come out quite done.

But don’t despair! A competing stretch mark removal service is bound to soon offer a deal on a different site. Will probably be limited to 4 Groupons per stretch mark or 2 DealOns for each skin blemish.
